Common changes like moving between two homes and having different routines are covered. The story validates the difficult emotions the child might experience like sadness, anger, or confusion. It outlines how to verbalize feelings and who to talk to if needing support during this transition. If your students are learning about or have mastered ratios, this is a Ratios Matching Game that they will enjoy. This activity is great for 6th – 8th grade students. The objective of the game is for students to select the correct explanation card that matches the ratio picture. For each ratio problem, there are 3 cards: 1. A picture of circles representing a ratio 2. A correct explanation for the picture 3. An incorrect explanation There are 5 problem sets per page with a total of 20 problem cards. Students can complete this activity independently if you wanted it to be an early finisher activity. It also works great for a partner activity or small group competition. Partners can work together to decide which is the correct answer. If you wanted to make it into a competition, there would need to be a game leader in charge of handling the cards and determining the correct answer. CVC Literacy Centers

This is a set of print and go CVC Literacy Centers that is perfect for early kindergarten students. It is a PDF of 42 pages. Your students will practice beginning sounds, middle sounds, ending sounds, rhyming words, and building CVC words. The cards are fun, bold pictures that are easy to understand. Students will match letter cards to picture cards and build CVC words with boxes showing a picture. It includes three worksheets that could be used for assessments. It does not include an answer key. Implementation Format: These activities could be used in a small group or partner activity or as an individual activity . It is perfect for literacy centers because the activities can be completed in about 10-15 minutes. You can have students complete more than one activity if you want a longer literacy session. Suggestions for use: The center activities include cards that can be used in a pocket chart or sorted on the floor, desk, or table. You could also attach velcro or magnets for sorting on white boards, cookie sheets, etc. Students can use magnet letters or dry erase markers to build CVC words in word building boxes. Standards: CCSS RF.K.2a: recognize and produce rhyming words CCSS RF.K.2d: isolate and produce the initial, medial vowel, and final sound (phonemes) in the three-phoneme (consonant-vowel-consonant, or CVC) words.
