Evaluating Expressions - Digital Quiz for Google Classroom

Evaluating Expressions - Digital Quiz for Google Classroom
, Grade 6, Quizzes, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools

This self graded math quiz on evaluating expressions is perfect for your digital middle school math classroom. I use it with my 6th graders. These are all very basic, low level problems for evaluating algebraic expressions using variables. There are only positive whole numbers and the fraction 1/2 used. The quiz has 10 editable questions, so you can keep them or change them up as needed for your students. Special Features: Each question is treated as a separate "section". This can be beneficial for ELLs or students with special learning needs because it chunks the questions in a way that can lower the cognitive demand. Each question has an image that shows the problem. This means the math problems are written much larger and clearer than if they were just typed in with regular text. Ideas for use: Use the quiz as a pre- test and let students preview the material and know what to focus on. Use the quiz as a practice set and then analyze the results to see what you should do next. Make another copy of the quiz, go to the settings in the form and click on Shuffle questions. Use the new copy as a post- test . Yes, they are the same questions, but the goal is that the students know the answers and there are very few students who will memorize these answers, especially in a mixed order. Add your own questions to customize the quiz to your areas of emphasis. PLEASE READ! This is a digital quiz and is in the form of a Google Form. You cannot print this quiz and use it as a paper-pencil quiz.
