About This Product
Asian-Pacific Heritage Research Pennants
About This Project:
This research report is designed to be completed by students in grades 4-6. The students will use the included texts to read about each person in Asian Pacific Islander History and then fill in their two pennant banners. The sources included here include all the information that your students will need to complete their research.
How to Use This Project:
• The first pennant banner contains basic biographical facts.
• The second pennant contains a space for students to write about each person.
• The students will complete each banner and glue them together along with the face of the leader they’re studying.
• If they need more space, there is a plain, lined pennant that can be attached as a third page.
• If you choose, students can also use the included peer revision and feedback pages to revise their work before creating a final, published copy.
Revising and Editing:
A revising and editing checklist and a peer feedback checklist are both included. Students can get feedback from a peer before or after writing their final copy on the lined pennant banner paper. Students should use the revising and editing checklist before turning in their final published copy.
Grading:
A rubric is also included to make grading easy and efficient. If you’d like, you can use the “Feedback from the Teacher” page to provide additional feedback for your students.
Answer Keys:
Answer keys are included for the biographical information on each person. An answer key is not provided for the open-ended written response since all answers will vary. Please use the included rubric to grade this page.
