About This Product

This is a Careers Lesson that any of your students will enjoy. This lesson is ideal for upper elementary and middle school students in 4th – 8th grade. High school students would also learn and benefit from this lesson.

The objective of the lesson:

Students will research a career of their choice. They will answer several questions about a college of their choice.

The focus or transfer of the lesson:

Has anyone asked you: What do you want to be when you grow up?

The first page will have the instruction and the guided practice. The instruction will explore the advantages of a College Education. Many students will suggest that salary and pay is the greatest advantage of a College Education. You can encourage them to consider additional advantages. A check for understanding is included. This is a great engagement opportunity for students. In order to respond to the check for understanding, students can do a quick write or a brief turn and talk.

The second page will be the printable that students need to complete their guided practice.

I hope you enjoy!
