About This Product

Students need to be able to manipulate phonemes to understand how words are created. In order to learn to read and spell, students need to hear the sounds AND then know the letter or letters that represent or produce a given sound. These phonemic skills allow students to be ready for print and to read print.

The 44 English phonemes are represented by the 26 letters of the alphabet individually and in combination.

These CVC phonics worksheets are ready to Print and Use. They reinforce spelling patterns of cvc words and encourage students to blend and segment onsets and rimes of single syllable words and add or substitute individual sounds (phonemes) in simple one-syllable words to make new words.
