This resource was originally created for UK learners of French (studying GCSE French) but can be easily adapted using the editable files provided if necessary. This resource is for lower intermediate learners.

Objectives:

• to briefly describe your appearance and personality

• to choose the correct forms of AVOIR and ÊTRE when describing people

• to describe others without support

The lesson covers the following aspects:

• physical descriptions: eyes and hair colors

• the use of AVOIR in the present tense

• adjectives to describe one's personality

• adjectival agreements- grammar rule and practice

• the use of ÊTRE in the present tense

• French idioms and their English equivalent

• a QR code for further independent practice on this topic

What is included:

• a PowerPoint Presentation of 20 slides, including title, objectives and answers ( + pdf version of the presentation)

• an accompanying worksheet ( 2 pages) with a range of activities ( .docx and .pdf versions)

• a version of the worksheet with answers (.docx and .pdf versions)

Differentiation:

• Translation and grammar activities are differentiated using a flag system. One, two and three flags activities represent the level of difficulty.
