In this resource file: you will find a series of activities to revise Opinions: Les Opinions

This resource was originally created for UK learners of French (studying GCSE French) but can be easily adapted using the editable files provided if necessary. This resource is for lower intermediate learners.

Objectives:

• to recognize a range of expressions of opinions

• to pick up information about other people's opinions

• to use a range of expressions when giving opinions and provide justifications

The lesson covers the following aspects:

• a starter activity: students find 12 expressions of opinions in a passage

• a translation activity French to English (10 key expressions of opinion)

• a listening activity in two parts: positive or negative opinions about Television and Gardening

• a crossword with adjectives (14 adjectives)

• a QR code for further independent practice

• a homework task: Translation English to French (opinions about family and school subjects)

What is included:

• a Powerpoint Presentation of 15 slides, including title, objectives and answers slides for all the activities ( + pdf version of the presentation)

• an accompanying worksheet ( .docx and .pdf versions) with a QR code for extra independent practice (+ a version with answers)

Differentiation:

• Activities are differentiated using a flag system. One, two and three flags activities represent the level of difficulty.
