This 4-page document is a glossary of grammatical terms, which you are likely to use in your lessons to teach the French grammar to your more advanced students.

This glossary is written in English and provides explanation of the meaning of grammatical terms and includes examples for better comprehension.

There are over 65 terms explained in this glossary, making it the perfect tool for your students who will be able to refer back to it whenever they are unsure of a term that has been used in class.

The layout of the glossary (alphabetical order, grammatical terms in capital letters and in a different color) will allow your students to easily find the term that they are looking for.

Here are examples of explanations:

SUBJECT PRONOUN a word such as I, you, he, they which carries out the action described by the verb. The pronouns stand in for nouns when it is clear who is being talked about. (e.g. My brother is not here at the moment, but he will be back soon.)

SUBJUNCTIVE a verb form used in certain circumstances to express some sort of feeling, or to show doubt about whether something will happen or whether something is true. Unlike French, it is only used occasionally in English. (e.g. If I were you, I would do it.)
