For me, as a teacher: Halloween is especially a fun time to have the kids share their scary poems, and they LOOOOVE doing this.  Just darken the room, light a candle, play spooky music and enjoy the activity. It’s so fulfilling to see how well the children do with this lesson and to know that they are actually learning something without even realizing it.
