IB PYP - HOW WE ORGANIZE OURSELVES - COMMUNITIES - PLANNER & RESOURCES This teaching resource focuses on the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme theme of How We Organize Ourselves, specifically looking at communities. The planner and supplemental resources help students in grades 1-6 explore what a community is, the different types of communities, and how communities are organized to meet the needs of their members. Engaging inquiry-based activities, discussions, readings, and writing prompts facilitate critical thinking on community roles, structures, services, and more. Educators can implement these materials in whole group lessons, small group work, or as independent assignments to further their students' understanding of this PYP transdisciplinary theme.
