On each page of this resource, you will find an interesting fact about France or the French language and an image to illustrate that fact. There are a total of 34 pages which can be used a bell-ringers or fascinators.

Please note:

• Everything is written in French. The language used is complex and the facts are linked to topics such as justice, tourism, history or heritage. They will therefore be more suited to sparkle the interest of your more advanced and older students.

• Although the resource comes as a .pptx file, as well as a .pdf file, the facts are images and cannot be edited.

Example of a fact included:

La tour Eiffel:

1.Aussi appelée « la dame de fer », elle mesure 324m et pèse 10 000 tonnes. Elle est repeinte en moyenne tous les 7 ans.

2. À l’origine, la tour Eiffel était un projet éphémère, présenté par Gustave Eiffel en 1889 pour commémorer le centenaire de la Révolution française. Elle devait être détruite après 20 ans.

3. Elle est aussi une antenne radio géante.

4. En 1940, les câbles de l’ascenseur de la tour Eiffel ont été coupés pour qu’Hitler ne puisse pas monter au sommet lors de sa visite à Paris.
