About This Product

Are you looking for fun activities for practicing number recognition? These pixel art worksheets are perfect for getting your students to practice number identification for the number 8!

Different options for how to use this resource:

Cut and paste

You can choose to print the colour square pages on white paper.

-This is the simplest option, but it will take a lot of colour ink.

Or you can choose to print the black line squares pages on colour paper.

-This will use a lot less ink, but it will take a little more work to prepare.

-You may struggle to find colour paper in all the colours I have used. If you have a problem finding the right colours, you can generally substitute a different colour if you need to. Simply look at the answer key to see what the pictures are and choose an appropriate substitute colour.

Colour by number

You will only need to print the worksheets and allow the students to colour the squares themselves.

Preparation:

Worksheets

3 printing options:

1. Full colour  - best if you will be able to use all the same colours that I have used.

2. Partial colour – I have left the colours blank. You will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity. This is best if you need to make some substitutions because you are printing on colour paper and cannot find all the correct colours.

3. Black and white - like with the partial colour version, you will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity.

Squares Pages

If you are using this resource as a cut and paste activity.

2 printing options:

1 .Colour squares pages (Print on white paper. Each page will have information telling you what picture it is meant for. Simply give each student a block with the different colour squares along with their worksheet)

2. Black line squares pages (print on colour paper. Each page will have information telling you which picture it is meant for, as well as the recommended colour paper to use, and how many students will be able to get their squares from one page. Cut on the dotted lines and give each student one section of each colour page for the picture they are working on.)
