Tag' Power Cards' | Scripts For Playing Tag With Others

Do you have students who struggle with the basics of playing 'tag' at recess? Time beloved game can be very challenging for students with special needs. These cards describe the “Power” one has when playing the game of tag.

Many students struggle with this game because it is so fast paced, can emotionally dysregulate, and seems to have ever changing rules. The Power cards review the steps of tag as well as the behavioral expectations of tag, in a way that makes the student feel empowered.  

Review these cards with your student(s) before recess. If possible, “catch” the student using a “Power” while playing tag. When struggling, remind him/her of one of the “Powers” that he/she could use at that moment.
