About This Product

I love using this when we are in our Road to Revolution unit. It is a fun way to learn about the punishments of the Coercive Acts and the emergency meeting of the Continental Congress.

I organize a table in the middle of the room with a Union Jack flag sitting somewhere on it. I make the table look official with some other props, too. Off to the side I put a chair for my "throne". The King and Baines stay in that area. The Members of Parliament sit around the table first. They change places with the Colonists later in the play.

Afterwards, we debrief and I ask them questions about what the Coercive Acts (each one) and then what was accomplished at the First Continental Congress.
