U.S. President James K. Polk Research Project

U.S. President James K. Polk Research Project Students will conduct research on President James K. Polk and create an informative research report. This project teaches research, writing, and presentation skills. Students compile findings into a flip book style report, outlining key information on Polk's life, presidency, and legacy. Once research is collected, students draft their report and receive peer feedback using included checklists. Students then publish a final report on decorative paper. Grading is easy with the included scoring rubric. This project facilitates key learning on a president while building essential research and communication abilities. Use it for whole class or small group study in grade 3-5 social studies or history. The end product is a comprehensive student-created book on President Polk's life and administration.
