Valentine's Day: Word Search is a great resource to celebrate the day!

This resource includes two word search puzzles consisting 25 words each. The first word search puzzle includes words in alphabetical order, starting from A and ending in G. The second word search puzzle includes from H to W.

All words are related to Valentine's Day! This is perfect for morning work and fun activities. These can also be used in centers, for students to work independently or when they are working in groups.

Additionally, this resource can be provided to substitute teachers or for students who are in afterschool programs during the week of Valentine's Day.

Benefits of using word search puzzles include students practicing reading, spelling, isolation of words, first letter and syllable recognitions, etc. It is a great way for students to reinforce the use of these vocabulary words as they find them.

Extension activity from finding the words might include for students to write sentences using each of the words! This would give students ample practice in not only recognizing the words but also in their ability to use the words in sentences.

This resource comes with the two word search puzzles and also with the answer key to each one of the puzzles. Students can then confirm their findings working in pairs, or in groups using the answer key. Teachers may also use the key to check on students completion of the puzzles.
