Fruit Picture-to-Word Matching Game | PowerPoint (PreK–1)
Common Core, Speech Therapy, Special Resources, Language Development, ELA, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities, Centers, Games, Presentations, Teacher Tools
I made this fruit picture-to-word matching game as a simple digital activity for early literacy practice. Students click to match each fruit picture with its word. The levels start small with just 3 pairs and gradually increase to 10 pairs, so it works for a range of ability levels and attention spans. Each level includes three versions, which helps keep it from feeling repetitive. This digital game includes: memory levels from 3 to 10 pairs three variations of each level a one-player option a two-player version with a simple scoreboard a PowerPoint Show file (.ppsx) directions built right into the game The fruit vocabulary includes apple, pear, peach, plum, grapes, lemon, kiwi, cherries, banana, orange, watermelon, grapefruit, blueberries, and pineapple. I’ve actually played the highest level with another adult, and it was surprisingly challenging for us (maybe that says something about older brains!). The increasing number of cards really does make a difference. There’s nothing to print or set up. Just open the file and start playing. Important: This game uses PowerPoint animations (including “disappear” effects) and is designed to run in the desktop version of Microsoft PowerPoint. It will not function correctly in Google Slides or in browser-based versions of PowerPoint.

ABC Game – Match the Letters with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A playful alphabet recognition game for preschool and early elementary (Pre-K to 3st grade) ⚽🔤 This classroom game helps children explore and recognize the letters of the alphabet through play. Based on the well-known “Find the Twin” format (similar to Dobble or Spot It!), this resource invites learners to engage visually and socially while building basic literacy skills. Each card shows six symbols or letters. The goal: find the matching symbol between two cards – as fast as you can! The game can be played in pairs or small groups and is great for active classroom moments, literacy stations, or early finisher time. What I’ve enjoyed about this kind of activity in my own teaching is that it doesn’t require much prep, but it sparks a lot of focus and excitement. It’s also easy to adapt – whether you want to emphasize letter names, sounds, or visual scanning. What’s included: 62 cards total – 2 versions with 31 cards each – Round cards – Cut-out-friendly square cards Each card includes 6 images Clear visuals and simple layout for young learners Instructions included Ideas for classroom use: You can print the cards on regular paper or cardstock. Laminate them for durability if you plan to use them often. I’ve used these games during phonics lessons, as part of morning rotations, or as a “quiet movement” activity when students needed a break from sitting. The structure helps students work on focus, comparison, and visual discrimination – all useful skills for early reading development. At the same time, they practice taking turns and cooperating, which supports classroom community. Simple, flexible, and always well received – this game adds a playful twist to everyday alphabet learning. A low-prep, high-impact way to make learning the alphabet more interactive – and fun. Soccer Game – Find the Match! Spot It! Style with Hand-Drawn Cliparts Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A quick-thinking visual game for elementary learners – perfect for brain breaks, warm-ups, or station work ⚽🧠 This printable matching game is built around a simple idea: every two cards share exactly one image – and the goal is to find it faster than your opponent! Designed in a soccer theme and illustrated with my own hand-drawn clipart, this version adds a playful and sporty twist to the classic Dobble/Spot It! concept. You’ll receive two full sets of 31 cards each – in both round and square formats. Each card includes six different soccer-related illustrations (balls, shoes, trophies, whistles, and more). Whether you're working on visual attention, comparison, or just want to offer something fun and interactive, this game is a low-prep favorite. What’s included: 62 cards in total (2x 31-card sets) 2 formats: round and square (easy to cut) All images are original soccer-themed clipart Clear instructions included PDF format for printing and laminating How I’ve used it in the classroom: This type of game has worked really well for me during transition times or as part of a classroom “focus station.” It’s quick to explain, easy to set up, and even young learners who don’t read yet can join in. The competitive element keeps it exciting, but the visual search also supports focus and attention. You can play in small groups, pairs, or even adapt the cards for solo use. The laminated version holds up well over time, and I often keep a copy in our class game drawer. A simple, sporty way to bring energy and focus into your classroom – and a nice break from worksheets. Print, cut, and play – no prep needed, and lots of learning packed into a simple activity. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? Egg Carton Artic, Speech Therapy Activities, Affricates, CH J SH Articulation
Special Resources, Speech Therapy, Not Grade Specific, Activities, Games
sh articulation | ch articulation | j articulation | Kids will LOVE shaking the egg carton while targeting their "ch, j, and sh" sounds! Over 90 target words for /ʧ/, /ʤ/, and /ʃ/ in all word positions! Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. Great for springtime but can be used all year long! ***COLOR AND BLACK AND WHITE OUTLINE COPY INCLUDED ✏ DIRECTIONS FOR USE Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. 1. Dice Word Drill Place a regular dice in your egg carton with your overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. Wherever the dice lands, the student must say the corresponding word however many times the dice says. For example, if the student shakes the box and the dice lands on five under the word “cheese,” the student must say the word “cheese” five times. •Student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the words they have already said and to rate their productions. •To use Sentence Strips with this activity , play as directed above except instead of saying the word only, they must say it in a sentence. 2. Word Match-Up Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. The student is trying to make the little picture land in the space that matches with the same picture in the top overlay. If the little picture lands under a word that doesn’t match, the student must say that word and try again until they match. Once they get the right match, the student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the word. Repeat until all words have been matched. 3. Picture Search Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box but do not open it. Use the sentence strips to guess where the picture will be. Have them ask, “Where is the ____?” “Is it under the ___?”. If they get it wrong, try again. If they guess right, use the sentence strip, “I found the ____!” ♥ I suggest printing on card stock and laminating. Use tape to affix overlay to egg carton. When printing, do not scale down image for best fit on egg carton. ♥ Each purchase of this product is for one professional user only.
