ABC Game – Match the Letters with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A playful alphabet recognition game for preschool and early elementary (Pre-K to 3st grade) ⚽🔤 This classroom game helps children explore and recognize the letters of the alphabet through play. Based on the well-known “Find the Twin” format (similar to Dobble or Spot It!), this resource invites learners to engage visually and socially while building basic literacy skills. Each card shows six symbols or letters. The goal: find the matching symbol between two cards – as fast as you can! The game can be played in pairs or small groups and is great for active classroom moments, literacy stations, or early finisher time. What I’ve enjoyed about this kind of activity in my own teaching is that it doesn’t require much prep, but it sparks a lot of focus and excitement. It’s also easy to adapt – whether you want to emphasize letter names, sounds, or visual scanning. What’s included: 62 cards total – 2 versions with 31 cards each – Round cards – Cut-out-friendly square cards Each card includes 6 images Clear visuals and simple layout for young learners Instructions included Ideas for classroom use: You can print the cards on regular paper or cardstock. Laminate them for durability if you plan to use them often. I’ve used these games during phonics lessons, as part of morning rotations, or as a “quiet movement” activity when students needed a break from sitting. The structure helps students work on focus, comparison, and visual discrimination – all useful skills for early reading development. At the same time, they practice taking turns and cooperating, which supports classroom community. Simple, flexible, and always well received – this game adds a playful twist to everyday alphabet learning. A low-prep, high-impact way to make learning the alphabet more interactive – and fun. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Fruit Picture-to-Word Matching Game | PowerPoint (PreK–1)

Fruit Picture-to-Word Matching Game | PowerPoint (PreK–1)
Common Core, Speech Therapy, Special Resources, Language Development, ELA, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities, Centers, Games, Presentations, Teacher Tools

I made this fruit picture-to-word matching game as a simple digital activity for early literacy practice. Students click to match each fruit picture with its word. The levels start small with just 3 pairs and gradually increase to 10 pairs, so it works for a range of ability levels and attention spans. Each level includes three versions, which helps keep it from feeling repetitive. This digital game includes: memory levels from 3 to 10 pairs three variations of each level a one-player option a two-player version with a simple scoreboard a PowerPoint Show file (.ppsx) directions built right into the game The fruit vocabulary includes apple, pear, peach, plum, grapes, lemon, kiwi, cherries, banana, orange, watermelon, grapefruit, blueberries, and pineapple. I’ve actually played the highest level with another adult, and it was surprisingly challenging for us (maybe that says something about older brains!). The increasing number of cards really does make a difference. There’s nothing to print or set up. Just open the file and start playing. Important: This game uses PowerPoint animations (including “disappear” effects) and is designed to run in the desktop version of Microsoft PowerPoint. It will not function correctly in Google Slides or in browser-based versions of PowerPoint.

Final or Ending Sounds Phonic Game Phonemic Awareness Activity

Final or Ending Sounds Phonic Game Phonemic Awareness Activity
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Language Development, Phonics, Spelling, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, Activities, Games

Final or Ending Sounds Phonic Game Phonemic Awareness Activity A fun pack of two games to help children develop the important phonic skill of hearing the final (or ending) sound of a word. It covers the final sounds: t, d, k, g, p, b, m, s, n. Choose from: Build A Castle or Win the Race. The games are the same whichever you choose and use the same picture cards, but the choice of the game board means that children will not get bored playing the game again and again, plus the fact that you can increase the fun level to keep the children playing! (see below). Objectives This game pack has been designed to give children practice hearing the final sound of a word, something many children struggle with, especially those with a speech delay. It is hoped that, as the child has fun playing the game that the child's phonemic awareness can be developed. The game can also be used within speech therapy to help children distinguish between sounds which are produced in a like manner: k/g; p/b; t/d. Many children have difficulty with sounds that are produced using the same part of the mouth/voice/tongue. If this is true of your pupil, then I suggest that you start by playing the game with two sounds which are not at all similar. Once the child can confidently hear the final sound of a word, then the game can be played with sounds which are similar to help the child’s speech development and the ability to carefully discriminate between like sounds. Grade/ages These games are suitable for children of any age who need to learn to hear the final sound of a word. Games make learning easy, and children learn without knowing they are! Pre-K to teens with special needs will all love these games . The fact that the games allow for an increased challenge level is an added factor, making them games that children and young people will want to play again and again—all good practice for securing the skill of hearing that final sound! How many players? It is suggested that at first, each child plays alone with an adult until they hear the final sound. Then, up to 4 children can be invited to play together. Simply print out the number of game boards you need. Increase the fun level! Begin by playing the game simply. Once the child gains confidence and you wish to play again with sounds that are produced in a similar way or to give further practice, then add in some fun. Flag or wheel cards can be scattered amongst the pictures, and the teacher can choose what these mean - either extra turns or 'miss a go'. I made this game for a ten-year-old reluctant pupil. It worked, and now he can hear the final sound! Win Win!! What is included? 1 PDF File 2 versions of a game 63 picture cards Full instructions Picture Key

ABC Game – Alphabet Match with a Soccer Twist | Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A playful matching game to support letter recognition in preschool and early elementary (Pre-K to Grade 3) ⚽🔤 This hands-on alphabet game is a great way to help young learners recognize and match letters while staying engaged and active. Inspired by the popular “Find the Twin” concept (also known as Spot It! or Dobble), this printable classroom activity turns letter learning into a fun group challenge. Each card features 6 colorful images – all created by hand and designed with younger students in mind. Every pair of cards has exactly one matching symbol, and the challenge is to find it as quickly as possible. The game helps children sharpen their visual scanning, focus, and of course, their knowledge of the alphabet. You’ll receive two complete versions of the game with 31 cards each – in both round and square formats. This gives you flexibility depending on how you want to prep and present the game. What’s included: 62 total cards (2x 31 cards) 2 formats: round and square (easy to cut) Each card with 6 hand-drawn ABC images Clear instructions for classroom use Designed for easy printing and laminating How it works in the classroom: I’ve used games like this during literacy centers, as warm-ups for phonics lessons, or simply to give students a fun break while still learning. The rules are easy to understand – even for non-readers – and the game naturally encourages turn-taking and positive interaction. Because it’s low-prep and flexible, it also works well for early finishers or small-group stations. You can even keep a laminated version in a quiet corner for students to play independently or with a buddy. Fun, focused, and full of learning – this alphabet game helps build confidence with letters in a way that feels like play. A low-prep, high-impact way to make learning the alphabet more interactive – and fun. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning with SEL Coloring Pages

SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning with SEL Coloring Pages
Special Resources, Life Skills, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Centers, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Flashcards, Worksheets, Coloring Pages

In this SEL product, you will get SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning. You will also get SEL coloring pages because there are two different pages of emotions/feelings. Both pages have a black and white version and a color version. The black and white version allows your students to color their own faces and images. The emotions listed are; happy, sad, silly, proud, shy confused, scared, excited, angry, tired, loving, sick, disgusted, cry, jealous, disappointed. These flashcards can be used for so many purposes. I have used these flashcards for Go Fish games where the students have to ask for a certain feeling. You will need to make two copies of the colored emotions poster to make this game work. If a student asks for "angry" and the student they asked has it, that student give the card to the one who asked and that student places the match down on the table and names a time they felt angry. I have also used this resource for memory games. You would, again, make two copies of each emotion. Then you would mix up the cards and place them face down (I would highly recommend cardstock) in a random order. Students then would choose two cards and reveal the emotion cards. If they are a match, then the student can share when they have felt that way. If it is not a match, they would place the cards face down again the the next student would take a turn. This is a fun and interactive game but also helps students discuss their feelings in a non-threatening way. This resource can be used as a whole class activity where students color their flashcards and then cut them out. They can randomly pick a card and name a time they felt that way. This can also be used as a center activity for Go Fish or Memory (as I described above). The ways to use these Emotion SEL Flashcards are endless!

Over 90 target words for /ʧ/, /ʤ/, and /ʃ/ in all word positions! Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. Great for springtime but can be used all year long! ***COLOR AND BLACK AND WHITE OUTLINE COPY INCLUDED ✏ DIRECTIONS FOR USE Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. 1. Dice Word Drill Place a regular dice in your egg carton with your overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. Wherever the dice lands, the student must say the corresponding word however many times the dice says. For example, if the student shakes the box and the dice lands on five under the word “cheese,” the student must say the word “cheese” five times. •Student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the words they have already said and to rate their productions. •To use Sentence Strips with this activity , play as directed above except instead of saying the word only, they must say it in a sentence. 2. Word Match-Up Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. The student is trying to make the little picture land in the space that matches with the same picture in the top overlay. If the little picture lands under a word that doesn’t match, the student must say that word and try again until they match. Once they get the right match, the student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the word. Repeat until all words have been matched. 3. Picture Search Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box but do not open it. Use the sentence strips to guess where the picture will be. Have them ask, “Where is the ____?” “Is it under the ___?”. If they get it wrong, try again. If they guess right, use the sentence strip, “I found the ____!” ♥ I suggest printing on card stock and laminating. Use tape to affix overlay to egg carton. When printing, do not scale down image for best fit on egg carton. ♥ Each purchase of this product is for one professional user only.
