CVC Reading Book 15
ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Pre-Reading, Reading, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1,

A phonic CVC Words Reading Book for young/SEN/ESL readers. This is the last of 16 phonic reading books to support the blending of CVC words with a short vowel sound, suitable for those who just beginning to read with phonics. Find the complete series here: https://teachsimple.com/product/cvc-short-vowel-phonic-reading-books-fully-decodable These first phonic readers are suitable for use with all phonic programmes. These books focus exclusively on sounding out words and they only use the key sight (red/tricky) words a, is, the, of, which are introduced only gradually. These short words should be learned on a flashcard first, but are best put into context as soon as possible when children usually, quickly pick them up. Pictures are deliberately minimal to encourage the child to gain meaning from the text and not to guess. All of the words are introduced and then met again in subsequent readers, to help develop confidence and fluency. The book s begins with just a few words being introduced. For example, this book CVC Reading Book 15 uses the words Jiff, off, mess, fuss, of. The whole scope and sequence is included in the pack for your reference. Each book lists the sight word/s being used in that book at the beginning. There is also a short introduction to the book to be read by the teacher and discussed with the child. These introductions help to make up for the lack of words in the book and help parents and teachers to have a basis for discussion with the child, so aiding reading comprehension. I have based the stories around loveable characters with whom the children quickly identify: farmer Tom with his animals, his wife, his son Sam and daughter, Pam, his dog, Jiff and the cat. Due to the systematic, phonetic nature of these books, they are highly suitable for special needs children who have failed with other programmes. Many parents have told me they wished they had found these books sooner, or had found them at all, as they would have been ideal for their struggling reader. They have been thoroughly tested by my current pupils all of whom are boys. Even my nine-year old boy pupil loves them. They can also be used with young EFL/ESL learners. 1 PDF file 12 Pages A5 Print as a booklet

Multiplication Charts: 3rd Grade 4th Grade 5th Grade 6th Grade

Multiplication Charts: 3rd Grade 4th Grade 5th Grade 6th Grade
Special Resources, Math, Early Math, Multiplication and Division, Division, Special Education Needs (SEN), Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, Charts, Teacher Tools

These multiplication charts or times table grids start out with a standard 10 by 10 grid that teachers and students might be familiar with. Then, level by level, a single times table is taken away each time. I suggest teaching a mini-lesson or spending a class on each separate times table until you believe that your student or students comprehend how to calculate its facts. - 1: one times any number is that number - 10: add a zero when multiplying by ten - 2: double a number or count by twos - 5: count by fives & ends in 5 or 0 - 3: count by threes - 9: use the nine times finger trick - 4: double double This leaves just 6 times tables facts left for students to memorize: (6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 7x7, 7x8, and 8x8) You can print any number of the grids for your students to use (that way you can adapt for each student's unique needs). If you feel confident that your student knows his or her 1 and 10 tables, print them a chart without those facts so they can challenge themselves to recall them. This supports students as they work toward multiplication mastery step by step! What's Included: 9 Page PDF - 8 levelled multiplication grids in pastel colors - 8 levelled multiplication grids in B&W Grades to Use With: These could be useful in grade 3 as students start to learn their times tables. They could also be a handy tool for students in older grades who have IEPs that call for math adaptations or accommodations. Students will color in one of the sports balls each time they accomplish a goal-such as raising their hand or respecting personal space. There are two color pages of rewards and goals. You can customize each behavior chart to your particular student. The different types of goals represented in the handout are; Be kind, Eyes on teacher, Raise hand, Get started, Sportsmanship, Calm down when upset, Finish work, Share, Get along with others, Think before you speak, and Match the group. The reward pictures are; Extra recess, Extra reading, Free Choice, Lunch with the teacher, Screen time, A positive email home, Sticker, Treat, Treasure box toy, Make a school announcement, Game with a buddy and Teacher helper. These behavior charts can help students who need an extra incentive and motivation to follow directions, self-regulate, respect personal space and so much more. School counselors and teachers will find these helpful because you can tailor these to your students' sports interests-making it more attractive to participate in a behavior chart and incentive plan. The key is to include the parents in what the reward will be whether at home or school. If the reward is based on home, you can insert a picture of what the child will be receiving at home if the chart is all filled out. There are 10 opportunities for your student to be "caught doing good with his/her goal" This is super motivating as all students want to do their best and be caught doing things they are supposed to be doing. Communicate with the parents or guardians about what the reward will be at home or school and for the first few days the student should have a filled chart each day to get excited and encouraged.

Blending visual schedules and motivational reward systems yields an effective behavior management tool for classrooms and home. The set includes two sizes of “Now and Next” boards detailing current lessons/tasks and then the chosen reward. Change the illustrated activity cards daily. When students complete the “Now” activity and follow behavior goals, they earn their chosen reward. In order to gain the reward the chart shows given targets that they should work toward which will personal to the individual child. Sixteen illustrated reward options like computer time, bubbles, or time playing with their chosen toy allow children to see the payoff for positive behavior. Teachers can tailor the options to each child's preferences. At clean up time, students remove their schedule cards and do a reflection worksheet. This prompts discussion about their day's conduct and feelings. Did they earn their reward? Why or why not? The reflection teaches self-evaluation skills.
