Silly Dragon Crafts - Coloring - Bookmarks - Geometric Designs
Creative Arts, Geometry, Math, Shapes, Early Math, Patterns, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Crafts, Activities, Centers, Projects, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
These dragons are so silly and so much fun for kids to color. As is this entire dragon crafts activity pack. Kids absolutely love these dragons as well with their simple, thick outlines, they are a great way to give your students a break from their work and also be used as a reward for good behavior and an assignment done well. Since so many kids nowadays love dinosaurs and dragons, I thought it would be fun to create a dragon crafts activity pack. The simple drawings are perfect for preschoolers and prereaders. The bookmark designs, which are smaller and more complex, can be enjoyed by older students as well. There are five different dragons on 8.5 x 11 for a total of 10 posters - 5 of the dragons contain a colored example that children can follow to help with color recognition. These do not have a color border. The other 5 dinosaurs are black and white by themselves and contain a colored border. Once colored, the posters can be used to decorate bulletin boards, classrooms, and home refrigerators. They could even be framed and given as gifts! They can be printed and used again and again! In addition, there are 6 double-sided bookmarks with different geometric designs, patterns, and dragon pictures for coloring and printing. Geometry is math, so without realizing it, when your students color in the geometric designs, they are in essence practicing math skills. You can ask your students to identify the shapes and patterns on the bookmarks while they are coloring. You can also teach about shapes and patterns while they are keeping their hands busy coloring them. This can be super helpful in reducing distractibility. The geometric designs are great for developing familiarity with shapes and patterns. Plus, bookmarks make great gifts and encourage reading. The format is pdf downloadable and there are 15 pages, including the cover page. There is no need for an answer key as this dragon craft activity pack is pure fun with a little arts and crafts and math snuck in.

ea Phonics Anchor Charts
ELA, Phonics, Language Development, Spelling, Pre-Reading, Special Education Needs (SEN), Special Resources, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Word Walls, Classroom Decor, Anchor Charts, Teacher Tools, Worksheets & Printables, Coloring Pages, Worksheets
This 'ea' set of 2 phonics anchor charts is excellent for acquainting children with words in the ' ea ' spelling family, for both reading and spelling development. What is included in the pack? One brightly coloured ' ea ' phonic anchor chart which can be used as a word wall, or for teacher use One black and white phonics anchor chart, which can be coloured by pupils What do the worksheets involve? The colour ' ea ' anchor chart can be used as a word wall or as an aid to teaching the ' ea ' digraph. The black and white anchor chart can be coloured by the pupil. The act of colouring helps the family of ' ea ' words to be fixed together as a group of words in the child's memory. In addition, children can be encouraged to think of a story, using as many words on the ' ea ' anchor chart as possible. How to use the anchor charts One of the great difficulties of learning digraphs, encountered by the middle and lower thirds of the class, is remembering which digraph to use for each word. For example, is it cake, or caik? By linking words in the same family together, children can be helped to overcome this difficulty. This is how this phonics anchor chart can help. Children will greatly enjoy colouring the non-clip art, realistic pictures. Always encourage neat colouring, as this sets a standard for all work. Who are the phonics anchor charts for? Young learners Those with a special need Due to their non-babyish nature , they can be successfully used with older ESL/EFL pupils. Who can use the phonics anchor charts? Teachers Parents Home educators Tutors Adult education Anyone! Answer keys: There is no need for an answer key. Watch out for more phonics anchor charts from Lilibette's Resources in the future!

Changing Negative Self-Talk Into Positive Self-Talk SEL Presentation
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Elementary, Middle School, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Coloring Pages, Worksheets
In this Google Slide SEL presentation, students will learn how to change their negative thoughts into positive ones. There is a quote at the beginning of the slide show that says "Watch what you tell yourself, you're likely to believe it." by Russ Kyle. The students can share what they think this quote means to them. Then there is an educational slide on the value of changing their negative thoughts into positive ones. Then the students will have 12 slides to practice changing negative thoughts into realistic and positive ones. They can do this as a turn and talk with a partner, whole group instruction, or in their table groups. You can decide the best approach for your students. After they practice 12 different thoughts, the students will participate in an elimination game using a playing deck of cards. You will randomly pull a red or black card and students need to declare which one they think you will pull before you pull it. There are directions on the slide notes. The goal is for them to say out loud to the person next to them about which one they guess is going to get pulled for their own accountability. Ask students to pay attention to their own self-talk during this game. This game is based on luck only. You can play the game as many times as you want as time allows. Lastly, the students will get to color a mindfulness coloring sheet of a brain with their own name on it. You can make as many handouts as you have students in your class. Simply double click on the name and change it to the names of students in your class and press enter. Print off as many copies as you need. The colour 'igh' anchor chart can be used as a word wall or as an aid to teaching the 'igh' digraph. The black and white anchor chart can be coloured by the pupil. The act of colouring helps the family of 'ai' words to be fixed together as a group of words in the child's memory. In addition, children can be encouraged to think of a story, using as many words on the igh' anchor chart as possible.
