🇪🇸 Fall Spanish Domino Game Numbers and Number Words 0–30 This fall domino game gives students a playful way to practice Spanish numbers from 0 to 30. All the cards are written in Spanish, so learners get repeated exposure to both numerals and number words. I like to use it in the autumn when students are already excited about the season, and the game format makes the language practice feel natural. The set includes 68 domino cards. One version shows the standard number words, and the other breaks the words into syllables to support reading fluency. I found that the syllable version works especially well for students who hesitate with longer words like diecisiete or veinticuatro . It helps them read step by step and builds their confidence. The game can be adapted easily by number range. For beginners, I usually stop at 0–10, then expand to 0–20, and later play with the full 0–30 set. This flexibility means I can reuse the same cards throughout the year as the class progresses. Playing follows the familiar domino rules. The first card is placed in the middle, and each player takes turns matching a number with the correct number word. If a student cannot play, they pass until their next turn. The game ends when all cards have been used, or when no more moves are possible. Sometimes we play competitively to see who can finish first, and other times we work together to build the longest chain on the floor. Both versions keep students focused and engaged. Preparation is simple. Print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate if you want them to last for several years. I store each level—0–10, 0–20, 0–30—in separate envelopes so it’s quick to grab the right set for the group I’m teaching. This activity works well in dual language classrooms, Spanish immersion, and world language lessons. It supports number recognition, vocabulary, reading fluency, and teamwork, while adding just enough seasonal flavor to make practice feel special. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know?
