Early Explorers Booklet: Francisco Pizarro

Early Explorers Booklet: Francisco Pizarro Students will research the expedition of Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro and create an informational booklet showcasing what they learned. This project enables students to strengthen research, writing, and creative skills. Learners will gather facts, organize findings into an outline, write a draft, and publish a final booklet on included publishing paper. Also incorporated are a peer feedback checklist for constructive criticism and a revising/editing checklist for polishing the final published piece before submission. This cross-curricular activity can be done independently, with a partner, or in a small group. It's an engaging way for intermediate elementary students to explore an early explorer while improving ELA and social studies competencies.
