What You Get: This is a set of Printable Question Cards to use when listening to readers. There are 11 cards included. The topics are setting, style, points of view, non-fiction, illustrations, subject and theme, poetry, character, general non-fiction, basic questions, and plot-narrative structure. Cards are printed 2-3 per page. How to Use This Resource: Depending on the needs of your students, you may need to print all of these question cards or only a few of them. Print what you need, laminate them, and cut them out. This is a great resource to have at your reading table. Each card is packed with questions that you can use to question students as they read. The first question is complete for students as an example. With 10 other questions for students to complete, this will make a great assessment if you need to take a quick math grade. For each question, there will be 3 numbers for students to analyze. Students will write an addition sum using those 3 numbers. Then they will write the opposite operation in subtraction form. This is a great printable that you could assign for homework. You could also use this worksheet for an emergency substitute assignment. It could also be placed in math centers or used as an early finisher assignment. If you are looking to see how well students are mastering inverse operations, you could use it during small groups. It would also be great to use as a pre-test and post-test assignment.
