Arrays Practice Worksheets

This product has worksheets for students to practice multiplication by using arrays. This concept is good for both 2nd or 3rd grade. Although arrays are usually introduced in 2nd grade, it's important to review the skill in 3rd grade before students start memorizing the facts. It's important to know how they are getting the answer.

Multiplication can be a difficult concept for many students to comprehend. Having visuals, such as arrays, that show why the numbers are being multiplied together, will help students better grasp this concept. In this product, students will practice a few different things. They will look at how many rows there are in the array. They will also look at how many columns are in the array. They will add the numbers, using repeated addition, so they can see how multiplication and addition are related. Students also have the opportunity to practice creating their own arrays. The multiplication problems are given, and the students draw the arrays. You need to make sure they understand how to make the rows and columns so it actually looks like an array.
