Fully differentiated you will find worksheets here suitable for every pupil and all abilities. For every activity, there are two sheets, one with consonant blends and one without.

This means that pupils can revisit the digraph, once consonant blends have been learned, if they were not beforehand.

The teaching of the digraph ‘ck’ is easy for reading, but not so for spelling. The children must know the rule that we only use ‘ck’ after a short vowel sound. Much practice can be done to help children to hear the correct vowel in each word, and then to remember that we only use ‘ck’ when we hear ack, eck, ick, ock and uck.

The diligent teacher will understand that many children will have difficulty with this and will be prepared to support pupils as they move on with phonics.
