Word of the Day A - Synonyms

This language arts-based resource is designed for grades K-3. Children increase their oral language skills with a study of synonyms. With synonyms, students will substitute more complicated words for easier ones. For example, the word humorous will become the word funny. A new word is introduced each day by the Wordly family. Students will first read the story in which the word is introduced. Use the context from the story to determine the meaning of the word. Then, find a synonym for that word. Word games and a teacher guide is included.
