World Health Day word search puzzle worksheet activity

World Health Day Word Search - Healthy Habits Activity

I made this word search for my 3rd grade health unit last April. It's a simple 2-page PDF with 24 health-related words hidden in the puzzle - terms we actually discuss in class like "doctor," "exercise," and "vegetables."

The words are placed horizontally, vertically, and diagonally to make it challenging but doable for elementary students. I printed them on bright blue paper for World Health Day and the kids worked in pairs to find all the words.

You get:
• Page 1: The word search with large, clear letters
• Page 2: An answer key for easy checking

I use this when:

  • Teaching about healthy habits

  • Needing a quick but educational activity

  • Celebrating World Health Day (April 7th)

The words reflect real health topics we cover - "water," "sleep," "clean" - not just complicated medical terms. Last year, my class had great discussions about "vaccine" after finding it in the puzzle.

Format: Basic PDF (2 pages)
Tip: Have students star three words they want to focus on this month!
