For this reason, on hpoy day I have prepared a fantastic worksheet that I am sure will be very useful to you with your children. 2.Objective The objective of this sheet consists of: - Achieve or motivate language development: Learning the alphabet is a fundamental step for children's language development. As is known, children who already know their letters are better equipped to understand and then use language much more effectively. This will lay the future foundation for good reading and writing. - Promote reading preparation: You should know that knowledge of the alphabet is a fundamental activity and/or step for literacy and reading. Students who already know letters will be able to begin to associate sounds with letters, which is crucial and fundamental to learning to read. Then, the act of becoming familiar with the alphabet will facilitate the process of being able to decipher words and understand the connection between sounds and letters. - Increase memory: When learning the alphabet you will remember the specific order of the letters. This process will help the development and strengthening of children's memory. In this way, visual memory and sequential memory benefit from remembering the sequence of the letters of the alphabet. - Promote cognitive skills: The alphabet learning process will also involve observation, association and visual discrimination. This set of skills will be essential for the overall development of the child's brain. Furthermore, as is known, pattern recognition and letter categorization are skills that will later be applied in various areas of learning. 3.Order, scheme and stages It is suggested to first introduce the class with a motivating dynamic, and then introduce the worksheet. 4.Grades or ages This teaching resource is designed for children from 4 to 7 years of age. 5. Form of application You can work on these cards in groups of a maximum of 3 students. 6. Phonics for 1st and 2nd Grade: Help Students Learn Long I Words: I_E, IE, IGH, and Y

This unit focuses only on the Long I sounds. Learning how to read can be the most challenging activity for students and for a teacher. Understanding that the combination of letters can make the same vowel sound requires lots of repetitive practice of reading and writing these words with these sounds. There are other phonics units that I sell that focuses on the Long A sound with a combination of different letters, the Long E sound with a combination of different letters, the Long O sound with a combination of different letters , and the Long U sound with a combination of different letters . Reading can be made easier with these phonic helps that repeatedly encourage students to practice these Long I sounds. Activities include reading comprehension and identifying the Long I in their reading, writing their answers to questions regarding the paragraph, identifying additional Long I words in sentences using a word bank, matching words with pictures, spinning a paperclip activity where students will write the word with the Long I sound, and lastly a fun wordsearch with variations of Long I words. These activities are for each long vowel words that are focused on the Long I sounds so there are plenty of opportunities for students to practice their comprehension reading skills and phonic sounds. Students will practice the following Long I Word sounds: I_E, IE, IGH, and Y Teachers can use this resource in whole group, individually with students, students can practice with each other in centers, or these worksheets can be assigned as homework. Worksheets are also differentiated for each Long I sounds for all young learners which makes it perfect for all 1st - 2nd graders. A total of 28 pages full of reading and phonic activities. Along with reading and writing, there are matching, cutting, and pasting activities. Word searches and spin and make a word activity are also a part of this packet which make learning to read these phonic sounds entertaining for young learners. Teaching guided reading in 5th grade is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching this grade. This unit focuses only on the Long A sounds. Learning how to read can be the most challenging activity for students and for a teacher. Understanding that the combination of letters can make the same vowel sound requires lots of repetitive practice of reading and writing these words with these sounds. There are other phonics units that I sell that focuses on each of the long vowels with a combination of different letters. Reading can be made easier with these phonic helps that repeatedly encourage students to practice these Long A sounds. Activities include: - Reading comprehension and identifying the Long A in their reading - Writing their answers to questions regarding the paragraph - Identifying additional Long A words in sentences using a word bank - Matching words with pictures, spinning a paperclip activity where students will write the word with the Long A sound - and lastly a fun wordsearch with variations of Long A words. These activities are for each long vowel words that are focused on the Long A sounds so there are plenty of opportunities for students to practice their comprehension reading skills and phonic sounds. Students will practice the following Long A Word sounds: AY, AI, A_E, EIGH, EY, and EA. Teachers can use this resource in whole group, individually with students, students can practice with each other in centers, or these worksheets can be assigned as homework. Worksheets are also differentiated for each Long A sounds for all young learners which makes it perfect for all 1st - 2nd graders. A total of 29 pages full of reading and phonic activities. Along with reading and writing there are matching, cutting, and pasting activities. Word searches and spin and make a word activities are also a part of this packet which make learning to read these phonic sounds entertaining for young learners.
