About this resource
Ten farm-picture puzzles practise ordering numerals 1–5. Cut each picture into its numbered strips, then have children arrange the strips in order to rebuild the image. Ask them to say the numbers as they place each piece.
The 12-page PDF includes ten puzzle pages, a cover and a publisher page. Supply scissors and glue if students will cut and paste their work, or prepare reusable pieces for a centre. The pictures help children check the sequence; there is no separate answer key.

Teaching tips & learning objectives
Learning objectives
Students will arrange the numerals 1 through 5 in correct counting order.
Teaching tips
Cut apart each puzzle page's pieces ahead of time for younger students who cannot yet cut accurately on their own.
Use the farm picture on each puzzle as a self-checking cue, since the image should only align correctly when the numbers are placed in the right order.
Rotate through the ten different puzzle pages across several short sessions rather than assigning all ten at once, since each repeats the same 1-5 sequencing skill.
Skills covered
Number sequencing 1-5 — students arrange numeral puzzle pieces in correct counting order.
Picture-based self-checking — students use the farm-themed puzzle image to confirm their number sequence is correct.
