7th Grade Spelling Unit | Spelling Curriculum | Spelling Lists

Across 30 weekly units, each spelling cycle provides ten assigned words and room for five additional words chosen to meet class or learner needs. Visible units move through affixes and Greek or Latin roots, allowing spelling practice to connect with word structure and meaning. Weekly callout material, pretest forms, practice sheets, and test pages establish a repeatable study-assess-review cycle without requiring the exact word lists to appear in customer copy.

About this resource

You will love this comprehensive year-long spelling curriculum for your seventh graders! These spelling lists are organized and determined by spelling rule and pattern. Read below to find out which patterns and rules are covered. These words weren't just chosen randomly! We spent lots of time researching educational standards and recommendations as we carefully selected the patterns or rules for each week and then as we chose which words to include on each list. Each week has 10 assigned words and also provides space for 5 of your own words of your own choice. This resource includes 30 spelling lists- enough to cover your whole school year!
