About this resource

The timeline gives students a place to organize events from their own lives in time order. They add a picture and sentence for each event, with dates where known. Brainstorm possible events before beginning, then read the finished timeline from left to right to check the sequence.

Curriculum reference — Ontario: The task is personal sequence, not a generic history badge. Sorting and sequencing personal events supports Grade1 planning; this is a writing-process connection, not a history-content claim. A personal-event recount supports Year2 writing about real events. Selected skills only; reference stage is not an overall reading age, complete curriculum coverage, or an automatic recommendation for every learner.
