National Heroes Day Word Search - Celebrate Our Heroes!

I made this word search for my 3rd grade class when we studied community heroes last year. It's a simple 2-page PDF with 24 important words about heroes - like "brave," "service," and "sacrifice."

The words are hidden in all directions (up, down, across, diagonal) just like my students enjoy. I used this activity right before our local firefighter visit - the kids loved finding words like "firefighter" and "paramedic" before meeting real heroes!
