My students have always understood sequences of transformations by simple test practice and I hope yours will feel more confident after practicing several types of sequences of transformation problems!
This resource was developed provide students with extra practice when meeting the requirements of the 8th Grade Geometry Standards below:
Understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations; given two congruent figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the congruence between them.

Teaching tips
Because the task-card and worksheet versions share the same sixteen questions and answer key, use the task cards for a rotation or scavenger-hunt review and the worksheet for independent or timed practice, without writing new questions for either format.
Questions 1-11 focus on identifying a transformation sequence, while questions 12-16 shift to computing a resulting measurement, so the set can be split into two shorter practice sessions if a full 16-question sitting is too long.
Since every question is standardized-test style with four answer choices, this set doubles as multiple-choice test prep alongside a straightforward comprehension check on transformations.
