This reading worksheet tells a simple history of where pumpkins came from. This reading page gives young students an introduction to the history of the pumpkin and what the first people who cultivated pumpkins used them for. What is Included: There is one reading page for students to read about the history of where pumpkins came from. The story included is a very simple history of what the first pumpkins were like and how they were used. It is not designed to be comprehensive, but to serve as an introduction to the study of pumpkins. Once introduced, teachers wanting to teach more on pumpkins will need to seek further resources. How to Use: The teacher will read the story to the students and students follow along with the story. The page includes a map to give students a better understanding of where pumpkins originated. When to Use: Morning Work - The teacher can give students this page when they arrive to class to look at while they wait for class time to begin. Get students engaged with learning about the letter Z with this mini foldable alphabet book. The large images makes these books easy for students to color, and the foldable nature of these books product a no prep activity that can easily be assigned to students. What is Included: This resource includes a single foldable book for the letter Z. Each book includes a cover page and 3 picture pages all with pictures that begin with Z. Each page also includes a sentence that reads like "A is for Apple," making it easy to read for beginning readers. How to Make: Students will color each page of the foldable book. They will then fold the page to make an alphabet book. The student will then read the book to themselves or to another person. When to Use: Independent Practice - Students can be given these mini books to color and work on independently. Homework - This book can be sent home with students so that they can work on beginning reading and letter sounds with their parents. Literacy or Writing Center - Place the page in the center and let students create their own book.
