There are three different fluency practice pages that all focus on learning to recognize, spell, and read the target sight word in context. Allowing students to practice the sight word in context gives students the ability to connect the sight word's meaning and grammatical usage to help gain a greater understanding of the target word. Each passage repeats the target word multiple times for extra practice with the word. Students will practice reading, writing, reading comprehension, and spelling high frequency words with these fluency pages. This is a set of Homophones Worksheets that will be great for your Language Arts students at any time of the year for them to practice or demonstrate knowledge. The first activity has fill in the blank sentences for students to select the correct word from the word bank. There is a total of 12 sentences to complete and a word back with 15 words from which to pick. Some of statements are affirmations and others are questions. The last activity is a challenge one which will have students choose a pair of homophones and write sentences using them. This is an effective resource to have students practice their skills. To differentiate levels within the same group of students, teachers can read at loud the words in the word bank as well as the sentences. This product covers the 2016 Virginia (VA) Standards of Learning (SOL) 3.14 The student will investigate and describe the concept of probability as a measurement of chance and list possible outcomes for a single event. It contains notes pages on understanding the vocabulary associated with probability. It also includes notes on spinners, probability as a fraction, listing possible outcomes, charts and tables, combinations, and probability of sets. With combinations, it uses the tree model to help determine combinations, not permutations, so these notes are more appropriate for students in 2nd-5th grade. There are practice pages for each topic, with an answer key included. The notes pages come in two sizes. The first size is a full-page size. You can print them as-is, or you can print them two to a pages. This is what I do as it saves on paper and the sheets will fit in a notebook. The second size is formatted to fit on a standard composition notebook page. Additionally, there are two links included in the pdf: one which opens a digital version of the notes, and another that opens a slide show version, optimized for a projector or interactive board. In both cases, which you click the link, you will be prompted to make a copy, which you can then use with Google Slides or download and use with Keynote or PowerPoint.
