About this resource
What's inside this resource
This zip file contains anything you'll need to create a Candy themed classroom. Inspired by the old board game "Candyland" these printables have a game board feel that can easily tie in with a few different game/ candy themed classrooms.
Perfect for most grade levels, teachers can print everything out in color- best done on card stock for some items such as calendar cards. Also, Items such as number lines are created to be printed on 8.5x11 paper since that's what we would normally have at school/home. The number line can be easily printed out, taped together, and then laminated.
Everything comes in TWO DIFFERENT FORMATS! PDF AND POWERPOINT.
The Powerpoint files are technically editable because you can add a text box and add whatever font you'd like! The PDFs are only editable if you have a PDF editor installed on your computer.
This classroom set of Candy themed materials includes each listed item in 3 different Candy Styles:
- "Welcome Back" banners (includes K-5th grade)
- Word Wall Letters
- Name plates for student desks
-Binder/Planner Covers
- Number Line
- Included but not shown - Months, days, and number cards for calendar time (1.5in x 1.5in)
- Round Classroom Labels
- Rectangular Classroom Labels
- Meet the teachers pages
-Student Awards (student of the week/month, generic award)

Teaching tips & learning objectives
Teaching tips
Use the PowerPoint version of a component when you want to edit its text (add a different room name or grade); use the matching PDF as a ready-to-print backup when no edits are needed.
The welcome banner supplies a separate letter set for each grade, Kindergarten through 5th, so print only the grade-specific set your classroom needs.
The round classroom labels repeat as two full style sets of the same items, giving two visual variations to choose from when labeling the same furniture and supplies.
Skills covered
Classroom organization — teachers label furniture, centers and supply areas using the round classroom labels (chair, desk, reading center, math center, pencils, scissors, and more).
Calendar-time setup — teachers assemble month, day-of-week and 1-31 number cards into a classroom calendar display.
Bulletin-board/door display assembly — teachers piece together individual letter cards to spell a grade-specific "Welcome to [Grade]" banner.
Word-wall assembly — teachers post uppercase/lowercase alphabet header cards to build a themed word wall in one of two matching color styles.

Questions teachers ask about this resource
Does the welcome banner work for just one grade, or can it be reused across grades?
It covers multiple grades -- the banner includes a full letter set spelling "Welcome to Kindergarten" plus separate ordinal letter sets for 1st through 5th grade, so a teacher prints only the grade they need.
Are the round classroom labels a single set, or do they repeat?
They repeat as two full style sets covering the same 15 label pairs -- chair/desk, board/reading center, chalkboard/whiteboard, pencils/crayons, and more -- giving two color-style options for the same items.
