About This Product

Cell Organelles Card Matching (Card Sorting) Activity for grades 7-12 - This engaging activity allows your students to review their understanding of animal and plant cell organelles in a fun, game-like environment. For each of the 17 organelles, there is a card displaying its location within the cell as well as four main functions.

The following organelles are included:

  • Microvilli

  • Melanosome

  • Nucleus

  • Cytoplasm

  • Cell Membrane

  • Endoplasmic Reticulum

  • Golgi Apparatus

  • Mitochondria

  • Ribosomes

  • Lysosomes

  • Cytoskeleton

  • Centrioles

  • Chloroplasts

  • Cell Wall

  • Nucleolus

  • Microtubules

  • Nuclear Envelope

Adjust To Suit Your Classroom:

Pick and choose which cards are most appropriate for your classroom. Don't cover lysosomes, simply don't include them in the game. Only cover the main function of each organelle, only include the function(s) you've covered.

What's Included:

  • 17 Printable Organelle Card Sets (102 Cards Total)

  • Teacher Reference and Answer Page

Getting Started:

All cards are ready to go. Simply cut, laminate, and play. I've included two versions of the cards. The first has each card as its own, individual image. The second contains all six cards from the set on an 8.5" x 11" image which can be easily cut into six smaller cards.
