Stimulus-Based Short-Essay Questions
This product aligns with the New York State Regents Examination requirements in United States History and Government (Framework). It includes two sets of documents based on topics 11.11 THE US IN A GLOBALIZING WORLD. The format is adapted from a NYSED prototype examination carried out in June 2019.
Set 1 Tasks:
- Contextualize two related documents historically.
- Explain their association considering cause/effect or similarity/difference or turning point scenarios.
Set 2 Tasks:
- Analyze how factors like audience, purpose, bias or point of view may affect a document's credibility as historic evidence.
All tasks include short essay questions that use a five-point rubric for scoring purposes.
