Crossword Puzzle for Vocabulary and Spelling: In the Kitchen

This crossword puzzle is for students that are learning spelling, or already master spelling but want something colorful to practice further. This crossword is also suitable for students who are studying English as their second language. 

In this crossword, there are images as hints and students have to name the images to the horizontal rows of the crossword. The lines are connected so when the crossword is filled correctly, a hidden message will appear in the emphasized vertical row. The hidden message will be: Cooking food with family.

The benefit of this kind of crossword puzzle is that once students understand the simple concept, they are able to proceed themselves if they find any familiar words. The answer of the crossword is on the second page, but students are able to tell themselves whether they are right or not. If the hidden sentence is meaningful they are most likely to have done it right.
