CVC Word Bingo
About This Product
Bingo games are a beloved classroom activity made even more educational with CVC vocabulary. This phonics resource uses engaging bingo games to give emerging readers practice recognizing and reading consonant-vowel-consonant words. With two versions and multiple ways to play, students will delight in honing essential literacy skills.
This set includes 14 bingo boards focusing on simple CVC words like cat, bus, and mop. Boards feature either pictures or printed CVC words as calling spaces. Playing pieces include cards with coordinating CVC words or pictures. Learners match calling spaces to picture/word cards to practice decoding, reading fluency, and phonetic awareness.
Teachers can differentiate by using picture or word bingo boards. The reciprocal game play strengthens visual word recognition and audio processing. Students must identify vocabulary both by sight and sound. This multisensory experience cements letter-sound relationships.
Turning phonics practice into a game keeps young learners engaged. The self-checking format gives instant feedback. CVC bingo provides interactive, hands-on experience recognizing and reading foundation reading words. With repetition and fun, these materials help instill essential literacy skills.
This pack includes two different versions of bingo boards with 3 different ways to play. There are boards with pictures on which children can either cover with the corresponding word or a colored square. Then there is the reverse of this with boards showing the word and cards with pictures or colors to cover. Each set contains 7 bingo boards.
