Earth Day Reading & Sight Words caters to early learning, preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1 and 2. This product focuses on developing reading sentences abilities whilst instilling the fun of sight words into students.

Unique Approach

This activity has a unique approach where an extra word is added in every sentence. Students are expected to 'recycle' this extra word by identifying it, crossing out it on the sheet and rewriting it in a picture of a recycle bin provided. They may then create a new sentence using the identified word.

• Card + Rec Sheet: Similar sentences across its 21 cards along with one page consisting of recycle bin pictures.

This activity aids in recognition of common pre-primer sight words as well as Primer Sight Words plus CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) and CVCe words categories.

2. The Card Plus Rec Sheet option: Print and laminate for durability; cut them out along with mini recycle bins before positioning them strategically around your teaching space.
1. In an extension task that fosters practical application learning pupils draw card randomly; read through entire sentence aloud; stick recyclable bin image on identified redundancy alongside selecting recording sheets where they jot down all surplus words.
