End of the School Year Limerick Activity
About This Product
This End of the School Year Limerick Activity is a great resource to have your students review writing Limericks.
Students will be indicated to write a fun limerick about the end of the school year, and summer vacation following the format of a limerick. They will be reminded that a limerick is a stanza and that it follows the format of set rhyming lines: AABBA. Limericks serve as literary devices. They are a form of poetry.
In this End of the School Year Limerick Activity students will read a sample and then write their own.
- This End of the School Year Limerick Activity was designed for students in the 4th to 7th grades. However, it could be used by students in any grade and it can be completed individually. After completion, students may take turns in reading their limerick, or to post them around the classroom. Alternatively, these could be placed in a literary center for students to complete and include in their portfolio.
