End of Year Reflection for Middle School (Grades 5-8): Writing Prompts and Emojis!
About This Product
Self-assessment and reflection are important skills for growth mindset and personal development. Here's an age-appropriate way for your middle grades students (grades 5-8) to reflect on their school year. They have seen and done so much through the ten months of a school year, and it is important to take a little bit of time to validate and acknowledge their accomplishments and development! This is a perfect activity for the last week of school, and it also makes a great keepsake!
Here is a ready-to-print double-sided reflection that gets students thinking about
- Favourite memories: What is one of your favourite memories from this school year?
- New friends: Which student in your class became a new friend this year and why?
- Improved skills; What was one skill you got better at this year? What topic did you enjoy studying?
- What they will miss: What will you miss about your class this year (the teacher, the room, certain people, an activity)?
- What they are looking forward to: What are you looking forward to for next year?
- EMOJIS!: If you had to describe your year in 5 emojis, which ones would you choose? Please sketch and label each one.
