This resource is a Freedom Train Novel Study.

Included in this unit are vocabulary words for each section, a vocabulary page that can be mirrored on a board or shared online if you are virtual. Three quizzes, as well as a final test are available for assessment. They all have open-ended questions as part of the test/quiz, to ensure students show evidence and show their comprehension level of the topic(s) taught!

This unit is very text heavy, and can easily be applied to both social studies and language subjects. This allows for a break in between work sessions and can be done on alternate days with grammar/writing/reading skill work or Civil War background work put into the mix.
