These Halloween letter and number magnet matching mats make a great hands on literacy or math center for the preschool or kindergarten classroom. Students will have fun with these Halloween themed letter recognition and number recognition magnet activities.

How to Use:

Students will choose a magnet mat with either letters or numbers. They will them cover the letters or numbers with the correct magnets. If magnets are not available, letter or number mini erasers, or letter or number tiles can be used to match each letter or number.

Ways to Use:

• Literacy or Math Center - The teacher can place the letter or number mats in a center for students to complete alone or with a partner. Students can compete to see who will fill their mat first.

• Sensory Bin Activity - The teacher can create a sensory bin by hiding the letter or number manipulatives in the sensory bin. As the students find the letter or number, they can fill in the mat.

• Morning Basket or Morning Tub - Students can work on these mats during the morning while waiting on their classmates to arrive to class.

• Small Group Activity - The teacher can pull aside small groups of students who need help with number or letter recognition to complete these mats.

These alphabet and number mats require no prep. They just need to be printed and placed in the desired location. The magnet mats can be laminated for durability to create a reusable activity.
