Historical Figure Interview

Are you looking for a great way to bring history alive for your students? In this assignment, students are asked to generate interview questions to ask various historical figures from Class X.Org (on Google search "Class X historical figures" to find the page). The webpage Class X includes a list of prominent figures for interview-style educational activities. Some of the figures mentioned include Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Adolf Hitler, Cleopatra, Confucius, and many, many others. Each figure is briefly described, and students are encouraged to "interview" them to learn about their lives and achievements - additionally, each figure includes a short biography of accomplishments and history. The list covers a wide range of historical periods and cultures. Students are first introduced to what makes a good interview question and then they are taken through the steps to select 3 historical figures to interview. The assignment is designed to be completed digitally but can also be done in print. A complete teacher/student sample is included. Enjoy!
