This is an inventive teaching resource meant to inspire student engagement and creativity with literature. Used across grades 9 to 12, it introduces an interactive approach to understanding and synthesizing literary works while emphasizing language arts, especially literature.

The activity transforms the reading process by modeling after the popular social media platform, Instagram. On completing any novel, students participate by designing an Instagram post that emphasizes key elements from their reading:

• Critical characters
• Significant symbols
• An original book cover design related to the novel's theme.

Besides visually representing their insights through imagery, students are required to write about their readings in relation with this 'image'. This includes creating a caption that links with their illustration on its relevance in the novel along with appropriate hashtags as seen on actual social media posts.

The integrated teaching package consists of comprehensive worksheets alongside lucid visual instructions. An editable grading rubric provides precision-scored feedback while suggested examples enhance practical implementation. It serves as a handy tool for group activities, homework assignments or even substitute teacher lesson plans!
