Learning to count syllables is a critical skill for little learners as it supports their ability to properly decode words when they can better understand the division between syllables. When students become better decoders, they ultimately become better readers.
This activity also includes two pages for students to trace the words of the career.
You can have many additional uses to these pages because it can gauge a conversation about community workers and careers. Students can take part in a conversation on what they think each of these workers do on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity to discuss why these workers are vital to our community.
All of these pages can be printed and laminated to be used over and over again.
