This social story introduces a new school year, classroom and teacher through illustrations and spaces for personal details. The current 21-page PDF includes 17 story pages, with prompts for names, dates and your own classroom and teacher photos. An earlier 16-page version is also supplied.
Choose wording that fits the child’s actual transition and add the requested details before reading together. The story includes suggestions such as speaking with a trusted adult and taking a breath when worried. Use it as a starting point for conversation and revisit relevant pages as needed.
