Noun and Verb Sort For First Grade

Do you need a way to get your kiddos up and moving and learning at the same time?

This Read the Room Noun, Verb sort is a great way to get your kiddos up and moving around the room during Literacy Stations or anytime.

Place the cards strategically around the room.

Tape the cards to boards, doors, windows, bulletin boards, cabinets or anywhere you think would be fun.

The children have to WALK around the looking for the cards and write the word that tells what the picture is under the correct heading.

This is a great way to reinforce nouns and verbs while enabling your students to understand these concepts of language in a fun way.

There are 48 nouns and 42 verbs.
