This friendly designed worksheet is suitable for students at school, homeschooling, and as a group activity.

Instructions

1. Draw some Japanese ornaments on the rectangles, then cut them out.

2. Punch some holes along the circles.

3. Bring two rectangles together, and pass a thread through the holes as if you were sewing them together.

4. Do the same with all of the sides until you have a four-sided-lantern. Then use the tabs to create a cuboid.

5. Make a handle for the lantern using a thread.
